Led by our Director of Photography extraordinaire Michael Lockridge, students will be immersed into the world of cinematography with our one day workshop. From narrative to documentary, they will explore the technical aspects of filmmaking along with the artistic craft of visual storytelling. Instruction includes: lighting, cinema camera basics, composition and framing, on the fly doc filming, interview setups, getting coverage and establishing correct eye lines, and interpreting narrative scripts.
There will be hands on learning, both individually and in small groups, where students can hold the camera, set up shots and lighting, and work through scenes and interviews.
